It reminds me how sweet can be the simple things of life. Or, how we are consuming everything in peaces/pills, as cupcakes, tracks, datas, tweets, IDs… The knowledge is a patchwork.

“Cake Britainâ€� is sponsored by Tate & Lyle Sugars and is based on Mad Artists Tea Party’s interpretation of the meaning of “fairâ€�. It will feature food art from David A Smith, Jellymongers – Bompas & Parrm, Crumbs & Dollies and Lily Vanilli.

Reading about the future, I discovered some questions and answers that can change the anxiety to be there. We need the unexpected, even when your private life can be watched by the neighbourhhood, as shows the japanese architect Shigeru Ban with his 1995’s Curtain Wall House: an elegantly spare two-floor block of open living spaces with billowing white curtains around that can be opened or closed to regulate the degree of transparency (and privacy) between interior and exterior.

When I saw the first photos of Jil Sander’s collection by Raf Simons, a wave of heat knocked me down. Translating the colorful Happy Rock wardrobe to another level, the strong palette of male fashion to SS 2011 dictates: The blocked colors are the new print!

The same passion can be seen on Pantone Hotel’s concept, an invitation to experience the city of Brussels through a lens of color and a spectrum of comforts. Designed by Michel Penneman and Oliver Hannaert, the hotel of colors awakes your senses to an array of delights and playful surprises.

O excesso de copy/paste leva o mundo artístico de volta ao feito à mão. É uma forma de renovar a criação, sem deixar de lado, claro, as ferramentas tecnológicas. Nessa vibe, convidei o produtor L_Cio para um novo desafio: aliar seu techno ao piano. Ele topou e o resultado está aqui.

“Para compor a mixtape, convidei Miro Silveira, meu  padrasto, que é excelente compositor e multi-instrumentista, faz trilhas para teatro, cinema, propagandas e novelas”, conta L_cio.

E mais: “O mix foi gravado no formato live PA, ou seja, cada faixa foi executada na hora com a utilização de instrumentos MIDI e samples”. Bem no tom handmade que tem influenciado trabalhos de artistas como Gonzales, Something A La Mode e Damian Lazarus.

Shhh… “O piano no quarto escuro me oferecia uma possibilidade de harmonia infinita. Esta é a minha face oculta”.

Os primeiros anos da década de 80 testemunharam um choque entre a funky dance music e a produção eletrônica, resultando no surgimento da house e do hip hop. Nesse cenário, em NY, a obra de Keith Haring (1958-1990) conferia ao graffiti o status de arte. Esse mixtape é inspirado em sua obra.

E assim, vamos ingerindo referências, tracks, imagens e tags para um vômito co-criativo.

É com muito prazer que apresento a talentosa Mônica Almeida, uma jovem brilhante de 21 anos que chega de Belterra para fazer parte do time do projeto A Gente Transforma – Parque Santo Antônio com Suvinil Ao Vivo. É para ela esses ritmos.

Aos 13 anos, ela atuou como repórter da Rádio Comunitária e desde então participa ativamente de diversos movimentos sociais: grupos de jovens, culturais, ambientais e políticos, entre outros.

Atualmente, dedica-se à pesquisa da história do município de Belterra e às atividades da Rede Mocoronga de Comunicação Popular, por meio do Blog de Belterra e do Blog da Mônica Belterra.

AGT – Você se articula com muita elegância através de redes. Qual a importância dessas articulações hoje?
MA - Rede pra mim é interação, sejam elas sociais ou virtuais. A tecnologia móvel tem me possibilitado ainda mais minha participação e por isso as vejo como um papel importantíssimo no mundo atual. Elas tornam muito mais prático o contato com as pessoas e a mobilização para a concretização de idéias.

AGT – Qual a dica que você dá para quem quer organizar movimentos e concretizar transformações em suas localidades?
MA - Para transformar uma realidade primeiro você deve conhecer aquilo que quer ver transformado, ou seja, conversar com as pessoas para saber suas opniões. A juventude tem um grande potencial para pensar idéias e praticá-las. Mas acredito que qualquer transformação deve ocorrer dentro de nós primeiro e daí é que podemos ajudar a transformar a realidade de outra pessoas. E as redes virtuais ajudam na mobilização de pessoas e na divulgação dos resultados.

AGT – Quais são as cores que você traz na mala?
MA - Minha mala vai muito vermelha, minha cor preferida. Mas levarei muito verde, cor da nossa Floresta Amazônica, e azul, a cor do nosso lindo Rio Tapajós.
